Local Villages

One organization, two local villages!

Local villages are branches of Villages of the Berkshires, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Through these local villages, we serve adults living in different towns, tailoring activities and programs to their  interests and needs in specific geographic areas and enhancing the neighborhood connection between members and volunteers.

Volunteers are the heart of each local village. Each village has a volunteer coordinating team that welcomes new members, helps plan village activities, and also works with the administrative office staff of Villages of the Berkshires in Lenox to make sure members' requests for services, which are assigned to volunteers by the central office, are being met.

The local villages are geographically based, but members are free to participate in the activities of any local village. Most information on local village activities is available on the Villages of the Berkshires website.

Our active local villages: Central Village representing the towns of Stockbridge, Lee, Lenox & Pittsfield; and SAGE Village representing the towns of Sheffield, Alford, Great Barrington & Egremont.

We would welcome additional villages throughout the Berkshires and surrounding areas; so please contact us if you are interested in establishing a village in your area. (413-409-6400 or info@villagesoftheberkshires.org
