Our Guests will Contribute Solutions to Long-Standing Issues
No matter where in the country we live, daily reports of housing shortages, high prices, and the potential damage of climate change assault our eyes and ears. Living Well Into The Future explores these housing topics with guests of all generations in its new five-part radio and podcast series. LWITF is supported in part by Berkshire OLLI and WTBR FM, Pittsfield. The housing episodes, which begin May 7, feature local, national, and international leaders including the lead author of the Climate Change Report that was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2007; an architect, founder of an award- winning architectural firm; and a housing developer whose company recently won a prestigious award from the Urban Land Institute. All episodes can be heard on WTBR 89.7 FM, Pittsfield, Saturday nights at 7, and at wtbrfm.com/podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Stitcher, or wherever else you listen to podcasts.
This week’s episode: Sustainable and Resilient Housing
Listen to members of different generations working at citywide and statewide levels discuss why we need to create sustainable and resilient housing now. What the elements of sustainable and resilient housing are, and what we can do to create it. All fodder for further discussion and action to live well into the future.
