Our next meeting is on Thursday, September 21, at 10:30am for a walk on the lovely Housatonic River Walk in Great Barrington. Then we’ll walk up to Main Street to Railroad Street for lunch at Baba Louie’s making it a loop. The trail is very scenic beside the river and has historic & nature displays. It is smooth and wide with a hand rail. There are some wooden steps also with hand rails. See the photos below. There is one section that has a few rustic steps down that we can help each other navigate. Approx. 1 mile total walking on trail and streets. 

 

If you would like, you can join us for lunch only, at noon at Baba Louie’s, or you may join the walk only (10:30) and skip the lunch. Whichever way, we are looking forward to seeing you!

 

Meeting place and parking: We will meet on the grass on the left side of Mason Library at Main Street and Dresser Avenue. I suggest you park on Dresser Avenue on the same side as the library. Or park anywhere nearby that you can find a space, and walk to the corner of Main and Dresser Ave.

 

Baba Louie’s is at 42/44 Railroad Street, Great Barrington.  It opens at noon. Here is the menu which includes soup, salads and pizza.

 

If a light sprinkle or mist is predicted, wear your hat and raincoat. If it is a heavier rain, we will meet at noon at the restaurant.
